The Alameda Health System (AHS) patient portal that allows AHS patients to access their health information online has been rebranded to MyChart based on patient feedback.

Under the direction of the Patient Innovation Committee, a team that included Information Services, Ambulatory Care Services and Public Affairs and Community Engagement, launched a patient survey in early April to determine a new name for the patient portal.

Sixty-four percent of survey participants chose MyChart as the new name for the portal, which was previously named MyAlamedaHealth.

Through MyChart, patients can view their medical records, upcoming appointments, test results, and after-visit summaries online or on their mobile devices. In addition, patients can communicate with their primary care doctors and view test results.

Currently roughly sixty thousand AHS patients are enrolled in MyChart with fifteen thousand users logging in monthly. To provide patients information on MyChart and to encourage enrollment a new webpage has been launched with tip sheets, frequently asked questions and videos.
